Great tit on branch, handpainted cup

With a dynamic and organic combination between partially scratching out the glaze and then covering it with a couple brushstrokes, it is every time a suprise how the end result will turn out. For this cup I worked with the idea of a great tit on a branch, and when I later on pulled her in her full glory from the kiln I was filled with pride.  This is one of those illustrations that can't be replicated. Of this cup there is only one, and for me she is a true piece of art. I am very proud to present her.

She is handpinched from natural stoneware clay and glazed with a matte white glaze on the outside, and glossy white on the inside for a food friendly finish. Topped with a ultramarine blue painting of a great tit on a tree branch. There is only one of this cup.
 
Cup is dishwasher proof, but ceramics do like to be handwashed because thats a bit less agressive.
