Great tit looking out, handpainted cup

With a dynamic and organic combination between partially scratching out the glaze and then covering it with a couple brushstrokes, it is every time a suprise how the end result will turn out. For this cup I was inspired by the lines of the many bushes outside of my atelier, where the great tits love to perch and tweet and search around. 

Cup is handpinched from natural stoneware clay and glazed with a matte white glaze on the outside, and glossy white on the inside for a food friendly finish. Topped with a ultramarine blue painting of a great tit on a tree branch. There is only one of this cup.
 
Cup is dishwasher proof, but ceramics do like to be handwashed because thats a bit less agressive.
