Initially these planters were created to be coffee cups. I wanted to make these cups from black clay, with my drawings scratched in them that I create during walks or bikerides, from moments that happen around me. Unfortenately somthing mysterious happened in the kiln, and the inside glossy white glaze got a lot of tiny pinholes. You could still drink liquid from them, but it's less hygenic because I think eventually those pinholes will fill up with bacteria that are hard to clean. I did realise that the shape of these cups could also function as planters for small plants or cuttings! I will include a small extra platform to put the planter on.

Handpinched from black stoneware clay, topped with a glossy white glaze on the inside and a white matte on the outside. Every illustration is unique and represents: a heron in the field, a buzzard in the sky and a flying heron.

Size approx: diameter 6,5 cm, height 8,5 cm. Weight 280 gram.
