Small coffee cup, godwit (grutto)
(I've added a small discount, because this cup has a very slight wobble. It doesn't change her look or functionality, but it doesn't fit my standard. It's very typical that when I create one of my best paintings on a cup, the cup gives a little imperfection to balance it out, so here we are :')
This cup is handpinched by Christina (an ancient handshaping technique, that shapes by pinching in clay).
One of a kind, the first godwit that I've ever painted! For years I see them coming (godwits arrive when spring arrives!) and landing on these poles. I've started connecting their sounds to misty spring mornings with lavender colors in the sky.
Handpainted with blue underglaze, topped with a transparant glossy glaze for a food-safe finish. Baked on 1250 degrees Celcius.
This item likes being washed by hand, but dishwasher is ok too.
Small imperfections are part of the crooked garden aesthetic.
Cup: approx. 7 by 7 cm weight approx. 300g
