Small vase Search

An handpinched vase that is carefully created from two cups (and then placed onto eachother). I've tapped her with a spoon for a long while, to smoothen her out, while I was sitting in my garden. Which results in a vase that is actually very nice to touch. Olaf topped her off with his custom design and I might be a bit sad to put her on the shop, because she has been happily existing in my atelier for the past months.

I'm naming her search, because she was made in the beginning of the creation process of this collection. Next to that it's nice to search for wildflowers I think, that she may display for you. The shapes that Olaf made also seem to search around the vase. I like it :)

This vase is made by hand, with stoneware clay, painted by Olaf with black underglaze. She is filled with a glossy glaze, and topped on the outside with a matte glaze.

I think that the power of these brushstrokes are that they carry a sense of freedom, free of perfectionism. I am deeply inspired and also intrigued by Olaf, that he can create these lines that I have practised so long to create - without succes. Abstract art is a slippery and often mis-understood field of art. But I feel.. that with this collection I'm hitting the spot. And that feels  awesome.

Only one available and very one of a kind. Small imperfections are part of the crooked garden aesthetic.

Approx. diameter 6 cm, height 13.5 cm, weight approx. 280g
