The swan mug

A timeless swan couldn't be missing in this collection. In March Christina spotted many of them in the fields, looking for a fitting nest. Often with their partner (did you know that swans are lifelong partners?). That's why this swan her partner is also placed on this mug.

This is a wheel thrown cup from stoneware clay, created by Lydia. She was handpainted with cobalt blue underglaze by Christina and topped with a glossy transparent glaze. She was fired with a top temperature of 1250 degrees celcius. 

This cup is unique. Small imperfections are part of the handmade aesthetic.
